Opportunity Information: Apply for O BJA 2024 172254
This grant opportunity from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) provides funding for five training and technical assistance (TTA) providers to support the Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI). The goal of CVIPI is to reduce violent crime by implementing evidence-based intervention programs that address gun and gang violence through collaboration among community organizations, law enforcement, local government agencies, researchers, victim service providers, and other stakeholders.
Funding will also be used to supplement one site-based grantee that was selected in FY2024. The initiative builds on previous funding efforts from FY2022 and FY2023, where national TTA providers and intermediary organizations were awarded funding to enhance local violence prevention programs. Additionally, this year’s funding will fulfill a prior commitment to a partially funded state-level award for Illinois.
Only organizations that received an official request from BJA are eligible to apply. The invited applicants include:
